The second day of testing in Sepang is over and the official MotoGP riders have completed their first laps of the year on their bikes.
Besides new colours, bikes and getting the racing feeling back there was a lot to get used to today, but Alvaro didn’t do too bad despite all this. The class rookies were expectedly close together with Alvaro clocking the 14th fastest laptime at the end of the day. Teammate Loris Capirossi was 4th fastest which might be a good sign for the development of the Suzuki.
Rain at 4.30pm local time forced the riders off track, half an hour before the scheduled finish of the day’s activities, and action is scheduled to resume on Friday morning at 9am local time.
